Dishonest and misleading
Found a used Suzuki Swift online advertised for sale by Chapelhouse. The car was apparently located at one of their other branches but they agreed to have the car transferred to my local Southport dealership. From it's description the car seemed just what I was looking for so I agreed to leave a 'Fully Refundable' £99 deposit to secure the car and eagerly awaited the cars arrival. The car arrived a couple of days later and I arranged to visit the Southport dealership for a test drive. Cosmetically the car was in very poor condition and nothing like how it was described in the advert. I told the salesman I did not wish to proceed with buying the vehicle and asked for my 'Fully Refundable' deposit to be reimbursed which I was informed would take 'A few days' ? Nearly two weeks now since paying the deposit and I am still waiting for my money to be refunded. Despite numerous phone calls and emails chasing I remain out of pocket. I even went back to the dealership to speak to the salesman I had dealt with who rather conveniently happened to be 'off site' and unavailable? Strange how these people are normally buzzing around you like flies when you walk in the showroom looking at buying a car? I realise it's not a lot of money but it's the underhand way how this Company operate that annoys me. People work hard for their money and have a choice where to spend it. My advice is to steer well clear of this rogue outfit at all costs and buy your car elsewhere!
