After sales debacle
Abridged version. My working life was based in the oil and gas industry where we worked under the following. Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost. IN MY opinion this branch of the Evans Halshaw works with one KPI Cost. Buying the car could not have been more helpful, dealing with the brakes issue nightmare. Initial contact with the Business manager regarding the brakes made on the 26th January where I informed him the there was a significant shudder when breaking. 27th January received a screenshot of the inspection report showing brakes were fine, sent email back stating they were not fine and the car was now "off the road", however I would get an AA inspection carried out on them, and if found not fit Evans Halshaw would pay, this was rejected, however I could take the car to the nearest Evans Halshaw garage, which in my case was Glasgow 18 miles away. On the 10th of February EH Glasgow confirmed the discs were warped and needed replaced, also as company policy dictated the pads would be replaced. After numerous phone calls and emails, I was told (incorrectly) that the issue was resolved, but due to internal procedures it may take longer to resolve. After agreeing the cost of the repair the car was booked into EH Glasgow and the brakes are now fine. As off the 10th of March I have heard nothing back from EH Blackburne . I just wonder how many of the 123 inspections are actually just tick boxes. Certainly took the shine off my wives new purchase. Never again
