Dreadful
When I drove my car 40 miles to this place for a diagnostic, I didn't expect them to still have my car four months later, and for them to tell me I need to collect it on a recovery truck. Before they got their hands on it, it always started first time and their Master Technician even stated how lovely the engine sounded. The reason it went for diagnostic was because it had a slight misfire after having a new turbo fitted, and smoke was coming off the turbo on start up, I was expecting them to check the turbo oil return pipe, I've asked if that was done, but had no answer. They seem instead to have carried out unauthorised work, deemed it ready to be returned to me and then rung me to say it has stalled in a car wash, with symptoms similar to hydrolock. This car which according to their Master Technician was running smoothly and ready to be returned to me, suddenly stalled and apparently it's due to damage to two cylinders (they think). A car with 2 failing cylinders could not possibly run smoothly, but they now want me to believe the reason it won't start is because of these damaged cylinders. They then left my car sat in a car park for 6 weeks and I had no correspondence until some rude woman called Tracey rang me to tell me I had to return the courtesy car and strand myself in Stoke. Another month later and my car has run out of warranty, they have done God knows what to it, and now they don't like the cost of mending it, I'm expected to foot the bill to continue diagnosing it and repair what has happened whilst in their care. I absolutely refuse to accept that they aren't responsible. I've recently found out they have done a software reset to try and start the car, why it would need that when it always started first time before they got their hands on it. I'd avoid this garage, no one should drive their car for a diagnostic and be told two months later that after spending a few hours in their workshop, that you need to get a recovery truck to take it home. My car is now out of warranty due to their delay in dealing with this, but apparently their Principal Anthony Cox doesn't see anything wrong with what's happened. Their investigation has found that they aren't at fault... what a surprise! I've been searching reviews on this company and it seems I'm not the first person to have their car damaged by them, I'm also not the first person to be expected to pay to repair that damage. I wish I had read these bad reviews before I entrusted my car to them. However due to my job, I have access to thousands of local people and I will use every opportunity and my social media to ensure people are aware of what can happen when you use this company. They are absolutely shameful.
