I purchased a van from this company in November 2024 with 92,333 miles on the clock, just before Christmas this became having issues selecting gears. The dealership was informed of this but due to the time of the year I accepted there was nothing they can do and told them to have a nice Christmas and we will sort it in the new year. New year come I reached out to the dealership and got quotes of repairs for this as it was suspected by a garage the clutch and flywheel needed to be replaced, although the quotes come back high the dealership offered to arrange collection and get it repaired locally to them as the prices would have cost no more then £600. This never got collected due to unforeseen circumstances by their part which I can’t mention. So I had no choice but to make them an offer of £500 to cover towards the clutch/flywheel and I would have been happy should this have cost more (clutch/flywheel) I just needed the van back an on the road, they accepted the offer and sent over the funds which I then got the van booked in for repairs, the garage then informed me of a number of issues with the van which was the gear box also needed to be sent off and rebuilt depending on the faults found (bearings had gone) they then also informed me that the engine bay when stripping the van apart to get the clutch/flywheel and gear box all off noticed everything was clean and loose as if it had been previously stripped cleaned and not put back together properly with a number of things left loose, they also informed me that the engine had been cleaned which appeared to be covering up the fact there was oil leaks. The repairs have been carried out costing me a total of £1,502.19 after taking off the £500 they sent for the clutch/flywheel however this still requires a master cylinder which will cost me a further £150 which I don’t have due to the current costs incurred with the repairs. I even have pictures/videos of all the work that’s had to be carried out along with all the old parts. Through out the time with this vehicle off road being repaired I lost time off work which has a knock on effect financially bills etc I’ve now also had the added stress of loosing my job because the van has been so unreliable and spent more time in garage then on the road. A complaint was made via my finance company, however the dealership think that the £500 is sufficient enough to compensate the costs even though that was for the clutch/flywheel alone nothing else they are refusing to compensate anything else towards this I don’t expect the whole lot back even though I should but something should have been done about this but instead of just refusing. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone from my personal experience.
