Don’t do it

Recently, I took my car in because the clutch had gone, but to my surprise, my lifeline cover doesn’t include this, despite it clearly stating that clutch components are covered. Additionally, I was charged £144 for a diagnostic, which I find unreasonable, especially since I was also promised a wash and vacuum that never happened. Given that I have only had the car for two years and haven’t driven many miles, the clutch should not be failing. Furthermore, why weren’t these issues identified during my MOT in November? It seems likely that because I had paid for the MOT plan, these issues were conveniently overlooked to avoid additional costs. To add insult to injury, I was given a valuation of my car at just £1,000. This is simply unacceptable. If anyone is considering purchasing the lifeline cover, I would strongly advise against it. Despite what it claims to cover, it does not deliver on these promises. As someone who relies heavily on my car for work to care for vulnerable individuals, I have had to use my partner’s car more frequently than my own, which I am paying an extortionate amount for.
