Lookers have broken my 80 year old fathe

Lookers have been terrible in dealing with my 80 year old fathers car. They have broken the engine and are threatening to charge £20 a day storage. 
He took it to them because it had difficulty starting on the 22nd November, they told him it was due to a blocked DPF filter and changed that, they then performed a £168 full diagnostics check and said the engine sounded okay but was missing occasionally, so they said it needed two injectors replacing, so they did that. The bill was around £4000 at this point, even though this is probably the total value of the car. 
Then they said it was still missing occasionally so they needed to change the other two injectors for it to be perfect, so they did that for another £800.
After this they said it was ‘almost 100%’ but they just needed to flush out the fuel tank and replace it with clean fuel, so they did that. 
When he went to collect it he asked them to show him the car before paying the bill and it took 7 attempts to start it and it sounded like a tractor. 
They were actually going to take his money and give him it back in that state!!
He refused to take the car in such a bad state. 
Later the same day they rang him and told him it needs a new engine.
Now my sister to trying to get Nissan to sort it out, but it’s dragging on, dad has no transport and Lookers have said they are going to charge £20 a day storage even though the engine was fine when they got it.
