Camper Vantastic!

A rarish 8 year old hi-top camper jumped out at us from their website. As first time buyers (upgrading from tent camping), this ticked almost all of our boxes, and bang on our (admittedly lowish) budget. (Other sites and searches suggested we may well have to up our budget... or reduce the number of boxes to be ticked.) A quick Saturday morning 'phone call was enough to virtually put the camper in an informal reserve status, and we set off on a 3 hour trek to take a closer look. The camper had only arrived at Zoom the day before, but it was clearly well looked after, and it was presented to us with an obvious air of dignity and pride! We loved what we saw, and happily spent the next couple of hours chewing the cud with Dan and Martyn-with-a-y! :-) Decent coffee, all Q's were A'd, deals negotiated and agreed, deposit deposited, and it was clear from the off that this is precisely the sort of company we like to do our shopping with. A proper family gig, that know their stuff. Pushy sales is not in their make up. They don't need to talk the talk, but they certainly walk the walk! Even with another 3 hour trip to get home, it was an all round excellent day, and it really couldn't have gone any better. Zoom then took on the required service/MOT/titivating requirements, in readiness for delivery to our doorstep... which again, was Top notch... professional, polite, on time, and bearing gifts! Only two wise men, but hey, you can't have everything! Zoom had done everything they promised, everything we requested, and everything we had hoped for. 5* In between all that, it was Sharon that took over the main point of contact duties. Financials, Email and telephone updates, paperwork etc. i's dotted, and t's crossed, but all with an air of informality and friendliness. We've had the camper just a few days, so it's early days on that score of course, but everything certainly appears to be more than just ok. It works like a dream for my commute, and it looks the business. New Year will show whether we made the right choice camper-wise (size and shape) for the next chapter in our camping life. Either way, that's on us. Zoom have provided us with precisely what we dreamed of. As for the family business aspect, it's about as perfect as it can be. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Zoom Automotives... and if this cute little campervan of ours proves to be a bad choice on our part, we'll be straight back down there for something a little more "8m long with flushing toilet"!
