A returning customer
I have previously bought cars on 2 occassions from this dealer and been very satisfied. Because I moved to Northumberland a few years ago, where there are no Volvo dealers within 50 miles, I sadly traded my XC70 for a VW. However I have not been happy with the dealer, so resolved , despite the distance to return to Chapmans when changing my car again. In late September I checked the website and found a couple of vehicles of interest, and arranged to come down for a test drive. The reception staff were pleasant, the salesman was polite and helpful without being pushy, and I came away having ordered a car from the Selekt range [ XC60 ]. I arranged collection for the following week and came down to find the car ready and prepared. The only criticism I would make is that they did not follow up between order date and delivery date to check whether I wished to order any of the "extra products" ie GAP insurance etc., however I could have followed this up myself. The other thing was that after a week or so , when I was doing my basic weekly checks, the tyre pressures were all adrift, particularly the emergency spare, so I suspect these had not been done properly at pre-delivery inspection. This was a little disappointing, however they do seem a very busy dealership, and it would not stop me recommending them in future.
