The Worst Car Dealer In My Opinion
A long story short..., purchased a new Volvo from this dealer in late Nov 2020. Had annual services and its first MOT with them in 2023 (low mileage of 4450 at the time of MOT). They failed the MOT on the front wiper blades and basically forced me to buy a new pair of wiper blades to pass the MOT. They didn't give the “failed wiper blades” back to me either until I asked. Examined the wiper blades in front of the service manager and I could not see any damage. Left the service department with great disappointment. Subsequently, contacted the head of business via email, he was just as bad with a no customer care attitude and condemned that the wiper blades are defective and hence failed the MOT. Since then, the wiper blades have been in careful storage and was put back on the car last week for its 2nd MOT with another dealer…, and of course, no issue at all with the wiper blades and passed the MOT as expected. This is confirming Riverside Motors’ service department (manager and MOT tester) and their head of business are liars... Well, re-capping when they MOT failed the wiper blades, the car was 3 years old and travelled just 4450 miles, and now the same wiper blades have passed the MOT... In my honest opinion..., Volvo cars are generally good, but the service department’s manager, the MOT tester and also the head of business at Riverside Motors (Doncaster Volvo) at the time (Nov 2023) of my experience are liars, using compulsory MOT items as excuses to fraud the extra £s (in my case, just a new pair of wiper blades to pass its first MOT at 4450 miles !) with no justification and no vision for customer care. Although one star shown for this review, but this is an absolute minimum that I will have to give to leave this review, otherwise no star 👎
