poor car repair

My car was HYUNDAI I30 I bought it brand new from Petch, Durham, admittedly it was 13 years old, but it had only done 17000 miles and was in excellent condition and passed every MOT without fault. My wife and I used it mainly for shopping I could not get car started and local engineer said there was electric fault also got AA to look at it and he said electric was problem and said I needed to get it to Petch to sort it out. AA towed it there They had it approximately 3 weeks and eventually they called me to say that car would cost more to put right than it was worth another 2 days later they called me to say problem was faulty ECU and that after 10 years Hyundai did not make this part anymore I was flabbergasted I had to take their word and had no alternative from Petch it went to salvage, a car that had only done 17000 miles and was in excellent condition So if it is true what I was told by Petch that these parts after 10 years Hyundai stopped making them and my car could not be repaired BEWARE! Also service was very poor they were good when I bought car and they got my money also had to pay them £240 for labour
