sad to say they tried to overcharge me

on the 18/10/24 i took my car into this garage because i was getting a very strange sound coming from my power steering, i left it with them to have a look at it, when they called for me to collect it i was told that it was £90 to pay for them just to look at it which i paid, then they gave me a quote for the work that needed to be done, which was to fit a new power steering cooler pipe, they said it will take 5 .5 hours to fit, at £90 an hour, plus parts and vat, which comes to approx £666, i felt a bit uncomfortable with this quote, so i decided to call vertu honda at lincoln, they was brilliant and quoted me £346 all in for the same work, labour parts and vat.. it was only a 2 hour job.... needless to say i wont be going back to volksworld again, and i was a regular customer ive been going to volksworld for the past 5 years for service and mot, im a pensioner so every penny counts .....
