Dreadful Service
Saw a van that fitted my requirements. salesman said that the van needed valetting and service . I asked if the timing belt was to be reoplaced and the rust was going to be sorted on the passenger door (small amount on inside). Five days later had a phone call to say the van was ready, arranged to collect the next day. Phone call early next day to say valetting not done but would be ready by 11.30. Arrived just after 11.30. Internal valetting NOT done, but it wasn't too bad so accepted vechicle. Told Cambelt done and other bits done as well. Few days later phoned and asked for the service record for cambelt but it still hadn't come through from the service dept. Phoned another 11 days later and spoke to a Director and he agreed to send me the record by email. When it arrived it said PDI- MOT -Service -sort engine management light- rust on passenger door cambelt I had already noticed the rust had not been done , so sent email to the director to request it to be done ,but received a reply "Hello, Please contact aftersales@vansco.co.uk for any further issues." Could he have just forwarded it WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE ! Checked over the engine found water coolant not visible in bottle' Oil on bare minimum. What a great service! Left me thinking if Service not done, rust not done, Valetting not done. Was the cambelt done? Can't take the chance booked in the van to my usual mechanic for new Cambelt. The Van itself, apart from above, drives very well and will eventually suit my needs.
