Extensive Corrosion
My wife purchased a car for £5000 from this dealership. It came with a year MOT with no advisories and no records of service. My wife took this car for its new MOT in advance of it expiring and we were shocked to discover, that due to extensive corrosion on the sub frame structure and other areas, the car failed its MOT and the car was deemed unsafe to drive and considered to costly to repair and thus only scrap value. My wife had did only 2000 miles in the car. People who have any basic knowledge of cars, would know this extent of corrosion did not happen within the timeframe we had the car, and in correspondence with the garage appears to suggest that the examination from the MOT garage did detect corrosion but not recorded. I have reported this to the DVSA and await their response. The garage management are hiding behind the MOT, despite us not buying the car from the MOT station. The car was taken in for an inspection and despite not having any report as to the reasons why this happened, I note this inspection was done by the MOT garage and the M D of the dealership. So there was in my opinion only be one outcome. Do nothing. This matter is ongoing.
