Don't Waste Your Life Buying From David
You have seen the other reviews, believe them. My wife bought me a CB 400 Four Honda from David Whitaker (then based at 55 Curly Hill, but since moved) that was listed on eBay for my 60th birthday, I was told it would be checked and serviced before it was sent out to me. After a few weeks, the bike, which we had paid £4,000 for arrived, I was so excited... until I rode it that is. Within half a mile it was clear that the bike was unrideable, constant misfires. I spoke to David who sounded very pleasant and reassuring. I was told not to worry, they would get the bike sorted, or, I could get it done locally and they would pay!! I took the former, as I assumed that they would be familiar with the bike. I Identified a whole host of things wrong with the bike, some making it unsafe to ride. David reassuringly told me they would get it sorted within a couple of months. A year later, after a countless amount of broken promises and after arranging several delivery days which were cancelled by David on the day or the day before, I finally gave up hope. My patience had completely run out. I had lost money on items such as insurance, manuals, interest lost on not having my money in the savings account for a year, but after a bit of a wait (as if I hadn't waited long enough) I did at least get my initial payment back. I had given this man the benefit of the doubt, taken him at his word (he was very plausible and honest sounding), and now regret the whole sorry episode; still as with all things in life I will learn something from it. I am not truly sure which company he was selling from at the time of purchase, as the invoice was from DWT themotorbikefactory. Genuinely if you are thinking of buying a motorcycle from him, don't, spend your money elsewhere.
