Never again

We purchased a second-hand car from these people at a very high price as it seemed at the time to be a good deal as the vehicle had supposedly been owned by the family of a staff member and had been meticulously looked after. The new brakes had to be replaced after 2,000 miles a year later, the aircon is faulty, there was a petrol leak, the paintwork was very poor with the lacquer flaking off in large chunks. The tyres were of very low quality and not matched, there was an engine sensor fault that had been reset and came on again when we got home, the front and rear windows were heavily scratched. We later found out it hadn’t had full services each year as we’d been led to believe, only essential items occasionally appeared to have been accomplished, we still don’t know if the oil was changed regularly. We were given a warranty, which really wasn’t worth the paper it was written on, the brakes weren’t covered, neither the petrol pipe and much more. We have dealt with Renault Retail for years, but never again.
