NOT TO BE TRUSTED!

BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a vehicle from this 'dealer' on 9th August. Before purchasing, I was informed that it had been serviced and when I asked what would be needed to get through the MOT that was due in December, I was told, "Nothing. There's nothing wrong with it." Well, 48 hours after purchase, the exhaust came away from the underside of the car, making it sound like the silencer had been removed. After several other undisclosed issues had become apparent, I took it to the garage that looks after all of my vehicles and after a morning of investigation, I was told that the car was riddled with faults and that the basic work needed to make it road worthy would cost about £2,000. The mechanics said that it would have been impossible to complete a service on it without seeing all of the faults. Yesterday, exactly 28 days after purchase, I spoke to the person who sold me the car today. Previously, he had said that he was looking after the place for someone else, but it turns out to be his place. When I mentioned that Consumer Law states that I am entitled to a refund if the car was discovered faulty within 30 days of purchase, he corrected me and said it was 28 days, indicating that he knew exactly which Law I meant, but his response was: "Mate, follow the Law. Take me to court." These people will tell you ANYTHING they think you want to hear to sell you a car. They will lie and not disclose important information that would affect any sensible person's buying decision. STAY AWAY! This place should be shut down.
