Purchased a BMW 1 Series 116D on the 23.06.24. To begin with, communication was smooth, however, it went downhill fairly quickly but I liked the car and was keen to get it. After waiting a week from deposit, I had to get in touch to ask when my car would be ready. I found it was pretty difficult to communicate and had to get my boyfriend, who they seemed to take more seriously, even though I was paying, to help out. When I went to pick up the car, the fog light trim was still popped out of place. Annoying, but I got £50 knocked off the total to get it sorted elsewhere. Took the car home and noticed the horn wasn't working, granted I should have checked but it completely slipped my mind. Got in contact with the dealership and asked for some advice, I said I may take it elsewhere to be fixed because although it was under warranty, they were an hour away. They told me to "not take it anywhere else because they might make a big deal out of things." I asked what they meant but never got an exact answer. Took it elsewhere to be fixed and they let me know my car had several loose bolts and bent panels underneath. In total I found 3 lighters, around £2.30 in change, a boot trunk first aid panel from a different car, a hair pin, a cashew, a whole side of crust from bread and toenail clippings. Pretty disgusting... I would not recommend at all. Thankfully, I have managed to clean and solve all of the issues I had. Now I know what to look out for when purchasing a car since this was my first time, so not a good experience overall.
