Car failed before 6 months

Engine failure within the 1st 6 months of buying car. It was a local run around for my wife and child, no major long distances. Seemed a good price but I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. Chap was lovely, said if anything failed in the near future to give him a call but they didnt want to entertain the call when I did ring.
