Can’t confirm if they completed recall

My car was requested for safety recall in June 2024, I booked it in (was told it would take 15 minutes) I was in the Mercedes centre for 2.5 hours. I also needed a new petrol cap to which they ordered the part. I phoned Mercedes on 15th August asking for an update, to which the petrol cap had already been delivered before 03rd August, but no one contacted me. While I was on the phone to book in the replacement of the cap, I was told the safety recall wasn’t complete. So I spent over 2.5 hours waiting at the centre in June for no reason? Booked in for 19th August to complete petrol cap change and complete safety recall (again). Took the car in at 07:30am. I then received a phone call at 16:00pm to say “it’s 16:00pm and they haven’t looked at your car can you bring in another day” I said no, I have a job and commitments, I can’t just drop my job because they didn’t fit a petrol cap (isn’t exactly a hard or time consuming job). 15 minutes later got a phone call back saying it had been complete. When I turned up at the centre to pick up my car (after they confirmed work had been done), I waited 20 minutes, for a woman to give me my key (I didn’t need to complete any paperwork or go through anything, literally just gave me my key). Overall very poor service, lack of communication.
