Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 D 51,000 miles £9,999 This is an honest review of my experience with Pershore Motor Group. Dealt with Carl throughout. To start, the experience seemed positive. Got a sneak look at the vehicle, via video, prior to its full advertisement. Every detail seemed to be transparent and honest. I awaited the professional images and full advert to make a punt on travelling down to Evesham to view. I reserved the car and paid £100 to do so. There was some minimal cosmetic damage to the rear bumper, which he happily sorted put, along with a little refurb work done the alloys, which he took upon himself without me even requesting, which was appreciated. Booked a time to view/collect, had ordered and paid £80 for the train travel. The night before, Carl messages to cancel due to an engine rattle they cannot cure, as the mechanics have given up. I'm guessing oil treatment didn't work unfortunately for them. He did offer an alternative, but was worse value for money so I opted to wait for the engines lifters to be repaired. They claimed to have done the cambelt but I've requested paperwork twice and have not recieved any, so I have no idea if that happened. He said if I laid a deposit, it would get done quicker and properly, forgetting I'd already paid a deposit. I'd also hope if I hadn't of, the job would still get done properly, for the sake of anyone else who's bought a car with work done. He also stated he would knock off £100 for not being able to get a refund for my train tickets, which changed to £50 on the day and gave a full tank of fuel. Very appreciated and was fair for the mess about, after being honest about the issue. I finally viewed and test drove the car, all seemed very well. On route home, I started getting a loud hiss/whistle with the turbo. Messaged Carl, he said I'd get a call from Aftersales, but never heard from them. Checked for any obvious air leaks, couldn't see a thing. Next I know the pipe upto the throttle body blew off, and couldn't be refitted as it damaged the clip and hose end. First brake down, miles from home. After £130 on a new pipe, the noise is still there. Suspect the turbo is worn. I started to notice an oil leak shortly after. Got it checked and confirmed it was the Cam cover leaking. Thurlow Nunn said it would be alright until the part arrives. Not long after, the leak worsened and started burning on the exhaust, really smoking away. I've stopped using it, as I'm worried about the fire risks, plus I'm losing a lot of oil. Many weeks later, I'm still awaiting the part and have no car. Not a great experience to be honest. I'd assumed by spending £10,000, I'd have a nice car and to not worry about issues, not be without one entirely. Upto the sale, decent service, post sale, awful.
