Great truck! Service seriously lacking

Bought a Defender from UK Defenders, Edenbridge. My first Defender! How exciting and so many plans to modify! Went for a test drive in the truck- loved it! Asked for the windows to be tinted and a dog guard to be added- picked the truck up a week later and was delighted with it! Arranged for a roof rack to be fitted and the back to be converted. Booked the afternoon off work to take the truck down to UK Defenders, Edenbridge. Received a WhatsApp the morning of planned work to say someone had called in sick and could we move to the week after. No problem at all, these things happen. Let the guy know I also hadn't received any transfer of ownership document from the DVLA- was assured this had been sent to the DVLA. Next week arrives- messaged a few days before hand to confirm the appointment (fitting off the roof rack and converting the back of the truck). Also said the truck was leaking and would they mind taking a look please- no blame apportioned, the truck is 16 years old. The guy is question was online when I sent the message (sounds slightly stalkerish I know...)....any way....no response to my message, no transfer of ownership document from the DVLA (spoke to the DVLA, they have not received any notification from the garage, therefore the truck is currently registered to no one! I am reporting to Trading Standards and the Ombudsman)...and another wasted afternoon of annual leave. Such a shame! As I now need to find another garage to do the work. If you didn't want to do the work, you should have just said rather than wasting the time and money of your 'customers'. Please note all the reviews on Auto Trader for this garage garage are 5* (which is a little suspicious) and bar the last review being from May 2024, all the other reviews are from 2020 or older….
