Avoid
AVOID AVOID AVOID. I bought a car from walkers 3 months ago which then developed an engine fault. I emailed them to ask for assistance with this and they responded to contact the warranted company (who do not answer the phone and only divert to voicemail which they do not respond to). When I explained this they advised me to come in so they could plug it into the computer but advised me their technician was on holiday from tomorrow for three weeks so they would not be able to fix the problem but could recommend somewhere that would (at my expense). When I brought up the law on car faults within 6 months of purchase the garage owner became very cagey and defensive and insisted he “knew the law” in a rather patronising manner. I pointed him to the information from the motor ombudsman and he kept insisting that he “knew the law on used car sales, he refused to even look at it and insisted that I was was wrong and if I wanted “to be like that he couldn’t help me”. I also note on further research that the garage isn’t registered with the ombudsman which is a big red flag with nobody to hold them accountable without legal action.
