AVOID THIS PLACE - WARNING

*** AVOID *** DO NOT RISK IT *** WARNING *** If only the reviews had negative stars... SA Car Sales Molesey -10 stars and then some... Summer 2023 we saw a lovely reasonably priced BMW for sale here at SA Car Sales. Took it on a test drive. Sold. Within two weeks it had trouble starting, went limp, wasn't firing correctly so took it back and was told their mechanics would take a look. 4 weeks later still nothing, despite chasing, and in the end we requested a refund and thankfully we got said refund as the vehicle was still within its warranty. We then saw a lovely little Mini here the same day, and decided to test drive this. We needed a car. Sold. The MOT was due to expire in December 2023 so SA Car Sales very kindly offered to put it through the MOT for us (we were end of September at this point) so we said 'thanks very much that would be great!' We went away all ready to collect the Mini a few days later. MOT complete we go back and collect the car. Within weeks, and sadly after the warranty expired, the car would go limp. It wasn't firing well. Leaking oil. The smell from the exhaust was toxic. Engine kept cutting out. RAC call out after RAC call out. The Mini then broke down around January 2024 and on trying to call out RAC again we couldn't as the vehicle had NO MOT. I'll say that again... NO MOT. On "completing" the MOT for us prior to us collecting the Mini, it FAILED miserably and was deemed NOT ROAD WORTHY due to catastrophic failings with the engine, plus other aspects which I won't go into detail with. So... SA Car Sales SOLD US AN ILLEGAL NON ROAD WORTHY VEHICLE AND DIDN'T EVEN TELL US IT HAD FAILED. In hindsight, we yes should have checked but the most important thing here is that they went ahead and sold us this vehicle anyway. No sniff of a failure. No sorry we will rectify the matter. Nothing. It's a case of thanks very much, money in our pocket, and you've driven off in an illegal vehicle. Bye! We took the Mini to our very reliable mechanic who has since done a LOAD of work on it... at a cost. We have contacted SA Car Sales on numerous occasions since we discovered this massive failure and they have failed to respond. We have given them ample opportunity to rectify the matter. No response. Nothing. They are in breach of the Consumer Rights Act for one, and many other things and I'll be taking this further with the Motor Ombudsman and Trading Standards. It makes my blood boil that a company can operate like this. I have warned them that I would be leaving a lovely review in keeping with the reviews I have now been made aware of... mostly negative. So in short... AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. This business has... BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. POOR MECHANICS. ILLEGAL TRADING PRACTICES. RISKS LIVES BY SELLING FAULTY VEHICLES. and BREACHES CONSUMER RIGHTS. *** AVOID *** DO NOT BUY ANY VEHICLE FROM HERE *** WARNING ***
