Worst customer service from any garage
My experience at Marshall Volkswagen in Newbury has been nothing short of a nightmare and the entire experience just left me in an emotional state. The sheer frustration at not being able to speak to anyone when I try and phone them (had at least 15 calls over a 2 week period ignored and was at one point left ringing for 7 minutes), not getting phone calls from them when they say they will phone me to give me updates, being told my car was nearly ready to collect and then told something completely different, being told that a wheel alignment is a "big job" (not sure if they were being sexist?) and then just being cast aside when all was done so they could move onto the next customer - quite literally as they left me standing at the desk whilst they spoke to someone else. This was my first time visiting this garage and it will certainly be my last – there are no excuses for the time it took to get my car sorted (2 weeks for a new turbocharger) or to give me an invoice for the work (1 week chasing them up for an invoice that should have been prepared when I collected the car). Best advice I can give - avoid this garage!
