Check MOT cert before drive away

Company failed to give me MOT cert which would have shown need for new brake discs and tyres. Purchased 2016 Hyundai I20 in May 23 with 10 month MOT. Was sent away with work for 7 mo ths so car only did 800 miles in the 10 month for next MOT. This highlighted need for 2 tyres and brake disks. If buying please ensure you check previous MOT certs and don't get ripped off like I did
