Avoid - car was not as described

I am utterly dismayed to share my recent experience with Drift Bridge Epsom VW. I purchased a second-hand golf from them, assured by their sales team that the car was in great condition. However, my expectations were far from met. The car, which initially seemed well-maintained, started showing serious issues within a short span of three months and 1200 miles. The brakes, a critical safety feature, were found to be significantly worn out, raising serious concerns about the vehicle's roadworthiness and the dealership's commitment to safety. To add to my woes, the clutch of the vehicle also needs replacing, a fact that was not disclosed during the sale. This is a significant issue that not only affects the car's performance but also poses safety risks. The discovery of such issues in a vehicle that is meant to have been inspected and approved for sale is both alarming and disappointing. Even more concerning is the fact that after one year and 5000 miles, the car requires a substantial repair cost of £3000. This is a significant expense for a vehicle that was supposedly in great condition at the time of purchase. The after-sales service has also been less than satisfactory. Despite bringing the car back for inspection within the first three months, the dealership has not been able to provide a prompt or effective solution to these issues. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I had expected a higher standard of service and vehicle quality from a reputable dealership like Drift Bridge EPSOM VW. Regrettably, this has not been my experience. I would strongly advise potential buyers to exercise extreme caution when considering a purchase from this dealership. The vehicles may not be as reliable or roadworthy as advertised, and the after-sales service may leave much to be desired.
