Never, Ever Again
I've been a customer of French Car Centre for 14 years. Last week was my last visit forever. When French Car started and for a good number of years they had a good set of French Car trained mechanics. Sure the reception was a bit useless with knowledge sometimes but used to get a sensible service. My last two visits have not been good, something has changed in the business - definitely no trained mechanics for a start. Last week my Kadjar had a major service on Thursday, drove it home (10 miles), Drove it to work and back Friday (15 miles) just arrived home and the "Top Up Oil" light came on. Strange I thought, Then I noticed two small fresh oil patches on my drive where the car had stood overnight. Further investigation found that the engine undertray was loaded with oil. Having become a much less confident customer of French Car, I got the mechanic who looks after an older car of mine to take a look. It was found that the oil filter had not been seated correctly and oil was leaking out from it. How could a garage get something so basic so wrong?? So it cost me, a new filter, new oil, and a clean up charge of the mess it created. not to mention the worry of what might be wrong with the car of course. Never again French Car, We have reached the end of the road.
