Not the best experience.

Recently purchased a used car from Russell Ham. Was told that the "timing belt was checked" however, after getting all of the service history it was clear this service was overdue, and they clearly wouldn't have checked it! They offered to do the timing belt for £500; however, my local garage were charging much less than that. They provided a new MOT with no advisories, however, two weeks later the brakes on the front required replacing due to squealing and having cracked discs and worn brake pads, these weren't covered under warranty as they're classed as "wear and tear". Satnav/stereo system also bugging out, cutting the audio and crashing, and when reported to them for support under warranty they explained they "don't do electrics" and couldn't support with this. They did, however, fix the broken electric window swiftly. What would have been decent, would be to do this work prior to sale, or to be honest about what will be needed in the coming weeks and reflect that in the price. Hoping that now i've paid the additional funds to have these issues rectified, that it'll be a nice reliable car. It's disappointing that you go to a recommended garage such as Russell Ham, to avoid being stitched up like this, and yet here we are! Wouldn't recommend to a friend and sadly wouldn't use again.
