Shocking penny pinching cowboys. Avoid!!
I don't normally leave bad reviews for things, but I am super compelled to leave one for Superbike Factory. I bought a 2022 Honda CB125R from them in April 2023. A brand-new bike with only 1 owner and 113 miles on the clock. The bike was in immaculate condition and I have always maintained that on this bike. I recently decided to upgrade to a Honda Rebel CMX500, so I looked on their website and saw one. When viewing it in person, it had a big dent in the tank and a few other scuffs that were a deal breaker for me, something which they failed to highlight on the website. The salesman said that 'he was glad I spotted that as they hadn't spotted it before now'. So, when I asked if they would lower the price of the bike for this, the salesman said 'No, that's the price of the bike' My thoughts were, 'You're selling a bike for a price with a dent and scuffs that you previously didn't notice and you're not willing to drop the price by a margin because of this? Now, aside from that, I decided to sell my CB125R which is in near-perfect condition and hesitantly accepted their £3000 offer over the phone. After going through a wealth of questions about the bike and its condition, I arranged a collection for this Friday. I then got a call back shortly after from a girl called Sarah who told me that the value of the bike had SUDDENLY decreased and that the value of bikes fluctuates all the time on the current market. She then offered me a value of £2700 which I adamantly and distastefully refused. I've had my bike up for sale for £3800 on AutoTrader and I think it's worth the asking price. I am a little bit shocked at how they attempt to lowball you after confirming over the phone a price of sale, only to then come back and offer you way less than the actual book value of the bike. They'll be making a markup price of £1000 when they sell it and charge the customer an admin fee on top of that when they buy it. It's shoddy customer service and unfortunately, I won't deal with these cowboys again. When an honest guy who simply wants to sell his bike that's in pristine showroom condition for a fair price is lowballed by a company that you think actually cares, it makes my blood boil at the absolute cheek of them. They also said they would charge me £250 for delivery of the bike if I bought one as part ex. I live 20 minutes away from the place and they want to charge that price for delivery. Scandalous company and they should be ashamed of their morals and ethics when it comes to doing business. Avoid them at all costs I say.
