Rubbish outfit with questionable care

Very questionable 'reasonable care and skill' My vehicle,S-max, apparently had new rear discs and pads fitted late January 24 by Bradford Trust Ford. ....by early May 24 and just 4k miles later one set of pads on the rear offside was completely worn out and was damaging the new disc!! Whilst the near side set has 8mm on both pads. FORD Trust motors were not interested in looking at the vehicle for 3 weeks, so I took the vehicle to another garage. The new garage reported the calliper was fine and was without any issue.....and that the new disc was not blued at all but had been scored and damaged by completely worn out pads....and their only suggestion was that Trust Ford had perhaps actually forgotten to replace the pads on this wheel. Both pads on this wheel were at 1mm to zero. Bradford Trust Ford motors said it was impossible for their mechanics to make such a mistake, insisting the fault was obviously caused by a sticky calliper..... and as such was completely out of their control and they offered no polite sympathy or resolution. They were simply not interested and denied any and all responsibility. But surely with so much wear, down to zero, on the pad in just 4 months, this would have blued the disc....and why fit new discs and pads if there was a faulty calliper in the first place. I expected reasonable care and skill and better customer service, and it looks like this was not delivered at all. Date of experience: 14 May 2024
