I have read many positive reviews about strauns Peugeot in Dundee which influenced me to call and enquire about a car. I called regarding a 2015 used main dealer Peugeot on the 21st August 2016. I spoke with the salesman who assured me the car was "mint" and "like new". Now I am a realist and I do appreciate that a used car even if it's 18 months old is still a used car, but I was happy with the description and agreed to purchase the car. I was asked for a £200 deposit, but stated I would like to speak to my partner. I called back 10 minutes later to say I would indeed be taking the car. However I stated I would like to drive up and see it, (I headed straight there 80 miles each way). The car was disgraceful, a dent on the Bonnet, kerbed wheels, poor repair on rear passenger drivers door and poor paint work on the rear quarter panel (including an absence of paint on the arch lip). I mentioned to the salesman my disappointment to be told "we get them from Peugeot UK they'll be well looked after". I decided against the car obviously, but it doesn't temper my anger at being lied to and having my time wasted. Please ask full questions from this garage of you plan buying. And you should avoid the disappointment I endured, not to mention wasting of my valuable time and fuel.
