LDV Van Buyer
Called the vendor about a 2006 LVD Crew Van that they had for sale on a classified add on a well known auction site . I asked plenty of questions about the Van's condition having had a few wasted journeys previously and was assured it had a full service history and was in excellent condition. After driving for a little under two hours I arrived at the premises which was baisically a narrow yard next to a residential premises. Spoke to the owner who immediately stated "Oh I forgot that I sold the van you where coming to see last week (how can you forget that you sold a van the week before ?) but I've got it's Sister one here ". Well the "Sister Van" was the same price, but with higher mileage, no service history, been badly resprayed with a cheap two pac paint which had left an orange peel effect on most panels, considerable overspray on the bumpers and loads of filler around the rear wheel arches and sills. So I politely thanked the owner for wasting my time and money and drove the two hours home again. All in all a huge waste of time, the owner wouldnt seem to know a good quality vehicle if it bit him nor did he seem to be equiped with a concience or abilty to tell the truth. I'd recomend the if you are looking for a solid Van or second hand car, look elsewhere. Don't waste your time or money here.
