NIGHTMARE OF A COMPANY

Absolute nightmare of a company to deal with from my own personal experience. Worst retail experience I have had. Lies , deceipt , broken promises. On January 5th this year I found a car advertised on the internet by WESTWAY NISSAN MANCHESTER. As I live in Yorkshire I could only view the car remotely on the web. I rang them and a spoke to a salesman JAMES BOSWELL. I gave him a £100 refundable ( at least that's what it says on their website ) reservation fee to reserve the car as it was a remotely seen car. Obviously I would only be able to approve the car when I travelled over to Manchester. Unfortunately shortly after I reserved the car I had to go into hospital so I rang JAMES and explained I couldn't carry on with the deal so I cancelled it with him. I asked about the return of my fully refundable reservation fee and he said he would arrange it. Approx 10 days later the £100 had NOT BEEN refunded as promised.. I rang JAMES and again asked him to refund my £100. Again he said he would arrange this. A week later it still had not been refunded. I rang again but was told James was busy but he would ring me shortly when he was free. He DID NOT ring me. I rang back the morning of the next day and was put through to a man in the service department. I explained the problem and asked to be put through to James. He said he wasn't at his desk. I asked to be put through to the general manager but he refused to do this and was very unresponsive to my problem. I asked to be put through to the sales manager JONATHAN BOSWELL and he told me he was in a meeting but would get him to ring me when he was out of the meeting. He did not ring me so i rang back in the afternoon and managed to get through to the sales manager JONATHAN BOSWELL. I again explained that I wanted the return of my £100. He said he would ring me back. Several hours later he rang me back and asked for my bank details and promised he would arrange for the refund. Around a week later the refund HAD NOT been made. The following weeks I have rung and emailed WESTWAY multiple times and spoke to JAMES BOSWELL , TOM , SAID AND GARETH. Each time being promised the refund would be sorted. I was asked for my bank details and card details 4 TIMES. But still the refund wasnt paid. I rang my bank Barclays to complain Westway wasnt returning my money. My bank contacted Westways bank and it wasnt until this point that my refund was paid back to me. This was 7 weeks since I first asked for my refund returned. I believe that if I hadn't complained to my bank that I would NOT have got the refund and I believe that it was a deliberate ploy not to refund me hoping I would get fed up and not bother going any further. I have since read reviews where this was the case for other prospective buyers. Untrustworthy , deceitful salesmen. I dread to think what would have happened if I had actually bought the car and there was a problem with it. Very stressful experience with WESTWAY NISSAN MANCHESTER and particularly the salesman JAMES BOSWELL and the sales manager JONATHAN BOSWELL. I personally would not trust them in any way through my own experience with them. My advice to any prospective buyer would be to read of my experience with them and go elsewhere. I give them 0 stars in every way for this review.
