ALAN HARTWELL SCUNTHORPE AVOID
Purchased a car from Alan Senior Sales Executive from Hartwell Scunthorpe. As I live on the south coast the condtion of the car was discussed in detail over the phone. I was informed there was damage to the rear bumper but this would go into the spray shop before to have this corrected before the car was delivered. The day before delivery Alan called to take the rest of the deposit payment and I asked him if the bumper repair had been done and he confirmed it had. The next day the car was delivered and the damaged bumper had not been repaired. I contacted Alan Robinson and he claimed this was an oversight and that they wouild get back in touch to resolve the problem. In the mean time I got a quote from a local body shop and forwarded this to Alan and his response was "I’ll give this to the boss tomorrow Paul cause he’s off today. And he’ll decide how he wants to sort it. With the looks of the quote it’ll be cheaper for us to pick it up and do the work here… wow!" I then received another email on 15/01/24 "I’ve been in touch with a painter close to where you live. I’m just waiting for him to get back to me with details of price etc." I have had no coummincation from Alan Robinson or anyone else at Hartwell Scunthorpe so I am now having to take this through the small claims court. I do not belive this was an oversite but even if it was Hartwell Scunthorpe have had plenty of time to put this right but have done absolutely nothing. It is disgusting that a company of this size blatantly lies to customers.
