Inflated price for interim service.

I have used Prestwood garage for a number of years for my m.o.t. and service and have never had reason to complain. Recently, I took my car in for an interim service, not realizing the garage was under new management. When I came to pay the bill I had a terrible shock as it was nearly double what I paid last year. The staff were very unsympathetic and said the reason being was due to the war in Ukraine and labour costs.I know this is not accurate as my partner has just had an interim service at his garage which was roughly the same price as I paid last year. They even stated that if I were to have a full service it would cost over £700. I advise anyone who thinks about taking their car to this garage to get a quote first, or better still go to a different garage which I will be doing in the future.
