Do not buy a car from them!!! Bought a car from TM Autos (also known as Kent Motoring World). On the day I bought the car, when driving the car home I had an engine light came on to say that the engine was too hot. I rung them and was told the coolant might be low (despite having just been serviced). I topped up the coolant when I was home. I drove it again later that day and the engine started smoking from the bonnet. I sent them a video and the following morning they called me to ask me to drive the car back (already dangerous in itself). I drove it back and when driving it another light flagged up stating that the speed limiter was not working. I informed TM Autos and they kept the car to fix it. It turned out that the turbo was faulty and needing replacing. This time they were happy to help (probably as I’d had the car under 24 hours) but they did NOT fix the speed limiter issue. The fact that the turbo had not been checked over prior to buying goes to show that the cars TM Autos sell are clearly not inspected properly before selling. TM Autos had my car for 12 days. I was offered a “courtesy car” with trade plates in. This vehicle was untaxed and would have been illegal to drive unless on a test drive (which I would not have been on). I did not take the “courtesy car” so was without a car for this time leaving me stranded with no way home as a young girl who lived 50 miles away, this was rather scary. After receiving the car back, I noticed that the car was vibrating when going round corners and up hills. I was advised by TM Autos mechanic that this would likely be the clutch. Since I was in my 30 days consumer rights period, I decided to reject the car as so far, I’d had issue after issue with it. I discussed this on the phone and also sent an email. For the most part I dealt with Henry who clearly lacks any idea of customer service as he was rather rude and. He would constantly interrupt me, laugh at me and just play down anything I would mention to him as if I was stupid. I was told that the clutch was a “wear and tear” item. Can I be clear, I’d had the car in my possession a total of 1 week and 5 days. This was not MY wear and tear. TM Autos responded to my email stating that they do not accept my rejection. I was within my 30 days and so this is to do. TM Autos then went on to say that they were happy to inspect the vehicle and fix any issues present. I took the car over to their garage for inspection and the mechanic inspected the car. He told me that the clutch had gone and would need replacing however TM Autos would not be paying for this or any other work on the car. So I’d taken my car on a 100 mile round trip for absolutely NO reason as they were never going to be willing to fix any issue. I was quoted £1100 to fix it. Since then, TM Autos have ignored every single one of my calls and have now blocked both my number and my partners. They are absolute and are . They don’t inspect the vehicles they have properly prior to selling and the warranty they apparently offer to every vehicle they sell on their site, is clearly not a warranty at all. I would never trust buying a car from them again.
