Awful attitude

Very poor experience. We booked our Up! in for a service via the telephone number provided on the website. The appointment was confirmed with multiple reminders coming in on email and text. I even had an email to check in online to save time, which I did. However when we took the car on the specified time and date we were told that there was no record of our booking. My wife was told that she "must have made a mistake" as there was no record of the booking. Standing in the reception area whilst everyone stared was a very uncomfortable experience. The attitude of the staff was that this must have been a mistake made by my wife. Despite eventually admitting that it was indeed an issue with their internal booking system there was no apology for the inconvenience or indeed any empathy to the fact that a whole morning had to be taken off work and was now a waste of time. I received a call from Stewart who was at great pains to explain to me the technical reason the booking system had failed but again made no effort to apologise or in any way take responsibility for the mistake. Annoyingly I continued to receive several automated messages during the day asking me to bring the car in! I was told to expect a call back later in the day which by 4pm hadn't happened so I called again and was told that the appointment had been rescheduled for over a month away and of course it's mid-week and we won't be able to make it due to work commitments, but of course no one seems to have thought about this.Really awful impersonal service from everyone at Bromley VW. Certainly won't be going back again.
