STAY CLEAR OF THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS.

NEW “BEWARE OF THIS ROGUE SELLING DANGEROUS AND VERY UNSAFE CARS STAY CLEAR AND GO ELSEWHERE” Purchased a vehicle from this dealer on the 25/4/23 2012 Ford Mondeo. On purchasing the car i was advised a service had been carried out and it had a full years MOT on the car. I was given receipts for an oil change and oil filter that had been replaced. There where also brake pads and discs renewed on the vehicle. The vehicle was in great condition on the outside and inside. After around 8 months of purchasing the car which up until that point i had only driven 2100 miles in total. The car wasnt driven alot and was running very smooth until i noticed a knocking noise coming from the front end of the car. On checking underneath to see if anything had dropped down or was hanging loose i could not see anything until i looked at the back underneath at the back box of the exhaust. What i found where a pair of mole grips on the back box intself which i found very strange. I took it to a local garage who had a look underneath the car and noticed quite alot of corrosion. The felxi pipe from the front exhaust had corroded and came loose which was causing the noise. The mechanic welded the bracket as a quick fix. The mechanic also pointed out that there where alot of corrosion on the lower suspension arms on the rear and the tyres where wearing quite badly on the inside which was a tracking issue. He did say that he was unsure if the tyre repair centre would be able to remove the bolts to get to tracking which was the issue causing the tyres to wear. They told me that they would not be able to remove the bolts to adjust the tracking without the bolts burnt off due to the excessive corrosion. There was also Alot of welding work done previously done on the exhaust which is also in pretty bad shape. I had taken pictures of all the corrosion and tyes to see for yourself. I had went to apeak with the garage owner and explained to him that in the space of 8 months at only driving 2100 miles could not have caused that much corrosion resulting in the tyres wearing on the inside. If it wasnt for the flexi pipe breaking i would atill be driving the car with the issue and the tyres wearing completely unkowns to me and they could Have blown at anytime. (there where also tyres changedin a previous MOT in october 2022 for excessive wear on the side of the tyre) This was put to the owner of the garage who in his own words explained that this wasnt an MOT issue after i put it to him that how did a car pass an inspection with such bad corrosion. He completely dismissed my concerns and refused to offer any solution to the problem. He basically told me that “ that is how bolts have to be removed is by burning them off” and that it was not an MOT issue. My point is this. Stay well clear of this garage he is in this game to make a quick buck and has no intention or interest to help resolve the issue atall. Stay well clear this man is a Rogue and should not be allowed sell cars in such a state it is not only extremely frustrating but its down right dangerous. I will be reporting this to the DVSA and any other vehicle ombudsman services. STAY CLEAR OF THIS CONMAN!
