DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP – if that’s what you can call them! I brought a Mercedes GLA over the phone via auto trader from Approved Cars Limited, when I arrived the sales executive that sold me the car and had arranged my handover had given the keys to another executive to deal with on the day, I only found this out once I had arrived. The new sales executive didn’t have the answers to my questions and was simply just handing over the keys, however the car was not cleaned when I arrived that bad it had cobwebs on. I agreed a £75 discount and to get the car cleaned myself. After continuing the handover to the inside of the car I noticed there was missing specification which was on the auto trader advertisement, I agreed that it didn’t matter and I would still take the car. Car taxed, insurance swapped handover nearly complete, I notice the car had no fuel in, the fuel light is on, I then start to question with the sales executive what was actually done prior to my collection and if the Used Car Check / Service was even completed. Please bare in mind at least £25 fuel is a normal requirement. The sales executive is the only one on site therefore cannot leave the premises so I drove down the road to the fuel station to fill it up and drive home, I put £50 worth of fuel to only find out when the engine was turned back on there were tyre pressure warning lights. I instantly drove the car back to the dealership which was only a matter of seconds away and told them that this is not acceptable and I am not taking this car today due to the disgraceful condition they thought was ok to sell a car. After leaving the dealership and with thought I decided to fully cancel my order as I couldn’t trust this dealership, it was a shambles. After trying to request my money back that I was due with much hassle 2 months later I have now only lost £10 insurance swap difference and my mileage / time to the dealership. However I stress hassle with my refund, I have had to fight on numerous occasions via email for the refund of the fuel I put in the car, as well as the Tax for the car because DVLA only refunded me 11 months. This dealership is unprofessional, despite telling the sales manager, James Clement, my correct name still continued to use the wrong name to address me, they hardly ever have an email signature I had to pick this up with them to find out who I was actually talking with. Overall, incompetence, completely ruined my experience of a new car for myself, very stressful, has taken 2 months to sort and I’m still out of pocket, and not one manager picked up the phone to apologise!
