Had the car for 6 months then travelling along the motorway on the fast lane the vehicle suffered a malfunction and slammed its brakes on and stopped . You can imagine the fear and panic this caused. Highways took me off as a lady went into the back advising the vehicle showed no brake lights.I had the vehicle recovered back to Nissan Wolverhampton where they investigated but no fault was found. It was suggested that perhaps a rabbit had run across my path causing it to stop, “on the motorway “I asked-couldn’t believe this was even suggested. Anyway as no fault was found I didn’t want this car back , I couldn’t take the risk travelling up and down the motorway every day to work. Asked for my money back which was refused but they could look for another car same spec as mine … 4x4 Tekna and diesel. Fair enough I thought. A month had passed and no vehicle had come in-and all this time un be known to me my vehicle was depreciating. My vehicle was now worth only £10.500, so even though this vehicle quite clearly had a fault -all of which is on the Nissan forum by other drivers experiencing the same thing.A similar car had now come into the branch -not diesel not 4X4 and a lesser engine capacity which they hadn’t even told me about and to make matters worse another £2500 for a vehicle 6 months younger than mine. I was held to ransom and had no choice but to accept this and pay the extra as if I hadn’t when would another vehicle come in? and to make matters worse they weren’t even willing to transfer the extra extended warranty I had paid for £350 on to this vehicle.I have now walked away with this very devastating experience, £2500 lighter with a car of less spec for something that wasn’t my fault and if this incident had happened at 22.30 at night with all the lorries on the motorway I may not be here now. So Nissan Wolverhampton you have failed me , no compassion on what I went through that day on the motorway and robbing me of the extra money for a malfunction that was not my fault but Nissan manufactures.
