Could do better

When I booked-in my car for a service, I was told that it would be collected some time in the morning from 8.30 am onwards. This would have been a fairly normal arrangement 50 years ago but is hardly appropriate in this electronic age. For instance, Amazon and most other internet suppliers indicate within minutes by email when an ordered product will be delivered. Alternatively, arrangements could be made for clients to leave a spare set of car keys with your reception on a day prior to the service. Either method would be a great deal more convenient than your present imprecise arrangement. Personally, I have several commercial and domestic connections with Australia and, due to the time difference, frequently spend several hours communicating in the middle of the night. Having then to make myself available at some unspecified time during the whole morning for my car keys to be collected is not a helpful prospect. Surely, in the year 2023, Caffyns can do better than this? D G Messer
