Purchased my car from Perrys Vauxhall Barnsley in june 2014, the car itself its perfect the issue is the actual dealership themselves. 1) the car was £5995 and due to my credit raiting I was told it would be £153 a month over 5 years - I completely understood this and thought the price wasn't bad at all! However when I went to pick my car up I was told it was now £210 a month meaning I'm paying over double what the car is worth. I was assured this would be for the first 12/24 months and then the payments would come down to the initial agreed figure as I will have built up a credit rating... this hasn't happened. 2) I was told the car would be ready on a Monday went to pick it up before work and it wasn't done, I was advised to go back on the Wednesday and it still wasn't done. My dad then got on the phone and the manager said well, we're doing your son a favour by letting him have a car on no credit and then promised to full the car up with a full tank of petrol and assured it would be done 100% by the Friday... Picked the car up as promised and there was no tank of petrol so I was pretty annoyed. 3) emailed dealership explaining that above and that I was promised payments would go down and asked for a call from manager and also passed info to the financial ombudsman due to mis-selling of finance - never got a call and this was about 6 months ago so I have pretty much given up on them all together now. 4) Took car for MOT in June 2016 (had 2 years free MOT) and they said the car needed £600 of work to get it through... 1: the exhaust was blowing needed full new cat back, 2: wheels were buckled and needed replacing, 3: 2 new tyres on the front, 4: couldn't complete emissions test because their mechanic couldn't figure out how to release a jubilee clip for the exhaust tip... I politely refused and took my car elsewhere, exhaust was patched up professionally FOR FREE to fix the small hole causing the blowing, turns out that the wheels were NOT buckled and DIDNT need replacing, 2 front tyres were replaced, the mechanic at the 2 garage knew how to release a jubilee clip... as should anyone really... All this was done for £40 for the MOT test and £60 for the new tyres, they also changed the oil for free as well which is always a bonus and saved me getting ripped off from Perry's again :) I have decided to write this review because a few people I know have had a sh*t experience with them ripping people off with sky high prices and sub par customer service. I would not recommend them to anyone, however, if you wish to go to get a car from them ill let you make your own mind up and chances are you'll be writing a review too... I was warned before I got the car that they are good for sales but bad with aftersales and customer care and herd many horror stories about them however chose not to listen because most of it is rubbish... hindsight is a ********
