DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE COWBOYS. FROM SALES TO MANAGEMENT THROUGH TO GROUP MANAGEMENT THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OR EMPATHY !!!!! 1star……if only you could leave zero ! What an experience…..we visited Riverside Doncaster on 15 June to view a secondhand VW Polo for our daughters 17th birthday which we agreed to purchase and then pick up at a later date of 1 July. This would allow some minor corrective works to be carried out. These included a small amount of paintwork, re-gassing of air conditioning, interior valet to remove some ceiling stains and a chip in the windscreen. Then 1 July came around and we picked up the car with our excited daughter to be greeted by the sales manger Shaun who simply gave us the keys and couldn’t get away quick enough. On our way home it was evident that apart from the paintwork non of the other works had been carried out. Once home I contacted Shaun to express my disappointment and was told ‘I was embarrassed to hand over the vehicle in that condition’….what a statement from the so called sales manager !!! The car went back for rectification and after re delivery everything seemed ok…..only for us to find after a couple of days that once again the air conditioning was hot. The car once again went in and again was delivered back supposedly rectified……again this was not the case. The car went in for a third time to have the condenser replaced and whilst this was being done we were advised a VW recall was needed and this had highlighted a problem with the steering angle sensor. Excuses after excuses followed with time scales being advised that they didn’t know how long parts would take. From purchasing the car on 17 June (3 months ago) we had problem after problem eventually being offered a refund or to wait for repair. Our daughter wanted to wait which we did reluctantly, however things finally came to a head when we had to involve the Head of Business Wesley Cole and then finally the General Manager Andrew Jackson as we were now at 20th September some 3 months plus since we purchased the car and we STILL didn’t have the car. We were again told that they couldn’t advise when the repair would be done and offered our money back plus £200 gesture of goodwill. We calculated that interest on the cash price plus unused tax amounted to c£130 meaning actually the gesture was £70 for all the inconvenience. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE COWBOYS.
