Sold me a car that turned out it needed a new engine. Refused to take it back and give me refund, despite me having the right for a refund under the Consumer Rights Act. Eventually they agreed to pay for repairs. I had to pay nearly £3,000 myself to have the engine replaced, was promised by Altrincham Cars that they would reimburse me after two weeks. No payment came and they stopped replying to my messages. Then I was told the person who agreed to reimburse me (an owner of the business who told me he wasn't an owner so couldn't agree to a refund) had left the company. I eventually got my money for the repair but only after a long and stressful fight. Avoid this company and don't believe a word they say.
