Potential purchase

Well where do I start !! I called Minis4u regarding a car they were advertising. A Mini Paceman auto 2015. I spoke to Pete only to be told that the car was not in stock for another couple of weeks . I said I was interested and would he let me know when it was going to be in. I did say I had a car to trade in which was a Mini convertible 2014. He roughly gave me a part ex price of 5.5k for it on the phone but said that because of ulez he would struggle with it (even though he has older cars on there website ?) And said might be better selling it on Motorway ! Not a great start as normally I have had no problems trading in a car with other dealers. And as this is another Mini I did not think it would have been a problem as that is what they sell !! Anyway he did say he would give me 1st shout on it. I hadn't herd for a while so sent them an email which soon after had a phone call from Pete on Friday to say the car would be ready Saturday about 3pm . I said it would a struggle to get there as 97 miles away but agreed that if he could revise part ex price and meet in the middle and get back to me that we would come and see it on this Saturday as he was putting pressure on us that he may sell it if we couldn't make it until next week even though I said I would put a holding deposit on it. So I emailed all the details of our car and some photos and Pete said he would get back to me on the next day which was the Saturday we were supposed to go an see ! Well I did not get a call or email on the Saturday so presumed that they may have had an issue. Anyway got a call from Pete on Sunday pm . He started the conversation by saying that he was extremely busy and apologised for not getting back to me. I said not to worry and asked if he had revised the part ex price. He said it may be a struggle to do then weirdly said that because we could not come and view it until next weekend that HE HAD SOLD IT !! I was totally gobsmacked. This was the same guy that said he would give us 1st choice on it !! I then said that we were coming up on this Saturday but you never came back to us ! Which he replied by saying he did not realise even though he did !! and apologised then started to say that he would look out for something similar for us !! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. As if I would want to deal with someone who has just done that to me ! I just laughed and so dont worry i will look for something myself with a proper dealer . It just made me so angry . What a total waste of my time. So unprofessional approach to business. I do not normally right reviews but as they have a lot of 5 star reviews I just needed to let people know my experience. I would be a bit sceptical of those reviews they have probably been written by the business themselves. I would definitely steer clear of these cowboys
