Disaster
After being sold a car that was not safe to drive I swapped for a new car (losing my deposit). After 5 days the new car overheated leaving me awaiting recovery with a 1yr old. After being followed home by the AA I took the car to the garage the following morning. I was informed no courtesy car available for a week, after 2 days without a car I was given a hire car. After 3/4 weeks I was informed the engine had gone and needed to look for yet another car. One was found and 2 days later I was due to test drive it. On my arrival I was informed there was an issue and I couldn't have the car. Back to square one we looked for yet another car. I went to collect personal belongings from my sick car to find the boot and backseat were full of oily parts, my 1 yr old grandaughts coat was on the floor and smelt of oil. I then found a car in the showroom but yet another issue. Two days later the manager called me and sent a link for a car which I was unsure of so arranged to view the following day. He emailed to say he had sorted the finance that afternoon without me even seeing or driving the car. The car was not to my taste so we looked again, I had found one some distance away but they couldn't do me a deal so I had to look nearer home. After approximately 6 weeks with hire car i finally had a car that drove. With all the separate finance deals they applied for, some without my knowledge, my credit score has dropped dramatically. I have put in a complaint but the dealership management team have lied saying I was aware and happy with all the applications. I had no option to stick with the garage to source a car as I lost deposit with the first car. The salesman whom went through all this with me is lovely and has done his best to find me a suitable car.
