Purchased a 2006 Fiat Grande Punto in April. Battery failed after 3rd day of ownership which was repaired by the trader but I had to call them to be advised it was repaired. However from day of purchase there is a major gearbox/drive fault which the trader stated they would repair but would have failed the MOT let alone been an advisory. There is something clearly array at this trader. The car was left with the trader for a week with no update for the repair, upon chasing them for an update they stated they would not complete the repair as it was 'trade purchase'. This was not the case as I had purchased a warranty for engine and gear box for £50.00. Since then no response, I was about to visit the manager personally to request a refund as I have lost faith in the trader however since visiting this page I have written to them claiming a full refund or legal action. This trader does not appear to follow basic standards for car safety and customer satisfaction, becoming very illusive once any sign of dissatisfaction is shown towards them for a product they have provided. Quote the Sales of Goods Act 1979 and Customer Rights Act 2015 if they do not respond to your request for a refund and prepare for a long battle they may go to court. I was relieved to see others have taken this step. Do not part with you money to this trader which is flagrantly abusing systems and avoiding basic services.
