The Way Car Sales Should be Run

I bought a second hand diesel Astra estate from AS Trade Car Sales in January 2023 with a 3-month warranty. It was spotlessly valeted with 62K and one previous owner. The car initially ran fine, but in February after about 1-1.5K miles the engine management light came on. The codes suggested a faulty EGR valve so AS Trade Car Sales replaced this in their workshop. However over the next few months the fault kept reoccurring and, as well as replacing their new EGR valve, the battery and arranging two different independent diagnostics, they finally replaced the EGR Cooler in May (which was after their 3-month Warranty had expired), Since then the car has done 3K and is running fine. Throughout the process the team at A S Trade Car Sales, were all patient, reassuring and pragmatic and kept me on the road with courtesy cars when necessary. A very sound service.
