Very poor customer service

I have A4 Audi convertible that I bought new from the previous incarnation of Tunbridge Wells Audi. When an engine warning light came on I naturally took the car to my local Audi center. I was charged £150 for an investigation they found 4 faults the most concerning being a potential issue with the catalytic convertor, a minor one being one reversing light not working. I authorized both to be investigated at further cost. They decided to do the minor one first and after £200 of further investigation now realize that the issue was with a module under the seat and much of the interior would need to be removed and would cost even more. I did not authorize any more work on this. They then looked into the catalytic convertor issue for another £400 - they have decided it is the catalytic convertor that has failed - however they cant get an Audi part (car too old) so they can't mend it. Apparently it is my fault that they didn't investigate the catalytic convertor first!! If they had done the work in a sensible order I would not have authorized work on the reversing light. They were not prepared to accept this and reduce my bill accordingly. So I have been charged £780 for no improvement in my car. It was the blank refusal of Momiinur Rahman (the service agent) to understand a responsibility to advise a customer appropriately - the idea that I should decide the order in which work should be done is laughable. I am still an Audi fan but will never use this company again. My Q5 will go elsewhere for servicing.
