No help after warranty expiry

2019 Mazda cx-3 1.8 diesel. Returned for check after warning light said too much oil in sump. The service team didn't know what caused it! They presumably did oil change. Two months later same problem and 2000 miles on. Because car now out of 3 month warranty won't look at it without full charge being asked for even though a preexisting fault! Poor diagnostic and investigatory skills and won't be buying a third car from them!
